I have been warning you that the liberals are destroying our military exactly the way the corrupt upper class destroyed the Roman military just before the fall of Rome. Today I read that they are cutting back our Army to about 440,000 to 450,000 or smaller than our Army has been since 1940, pre WWII. In addition, they are going to eliminate an entire CLASS of Air Force Attack jets, they have been talking about retiring the A-10 so that would be my guess. Add to this that they will be setting new limits on pay raises, higher fees for healthcare benefits, and lowered allowances for housing subsidies.

You can bet that none of these "saved revenues" will decrease the national budget and will just go right into the upper class trash pockets, you know, the corrupt rich butt holes who have destroyed this nation.

The smoke and mirrors are that this is to scale down and modernize the US Army, keep the military well equipped and trained, while removing the size and capabilities meant for engaging in land wars on two fronts simultaneously. Hold it, didn't Obama do that years ago? Didn't they already tell us we were down to a one front military years ago?

One Pentagon official said, "You have to always keep your institution prepared, but you can't carry a large land-war Defense Department when there is no large land war." Oh, I guess we are not supposed to be prepared for a land war with both Russia and China ramping up for said land war but are supposed to wait until they attack us to be able to build a large enough military to defend ourselves against them. Yeah, that makes since.

OH yeah, thanks to the liberal commie traitors, our government is so bankrupt that we won't be able to build that larger military to defend ourselves.

Then they said that many (two or more?) military experts (A.K.A. lackey officers who just got promoted for agreeing with the politicians) agree that this is the end of the era of conventional, industrial scale warfare (you know with Russia and China ramping up for conventional, industrial scale warfare) and that we should focus on counterinsurgency and counterterrorism so that militaries should adapt and become smaller and more agile.

You know that Russia and China are throwing a really big party tonight to celebrate. They have caught us and, if they fight us together, they have surpassed us.

Duck!!! Here come our Vandals!!! But hold it, they are not heading for my side of town, they are heading for the rich side of town, you know, where those corrupt, power mad rich people live who destroyed our nation. Oh, that is OK, maybe the Vandals could use a little help.

Then the article said that not everyone was in agreement (good, we still have some intelligent people in the military.) "This last November, Senior military analyst Lt. Gen. Thomas G. McInerney warned that a rising Russian and Iranian influence, coupled with America's waning Middle East presence, has put the US in the most dangerous situation it has been in since prior to WWII."

You think? I mean, after all, with the smallest army since prior to WWII, we would be in the most dangerous situation since prior to WWII, right? If you studied history, you know we were in a very dangerous situation prior to WWII and now our army is in the same situation?

When I studied military history, I noticed a very dangerous trend. The civilian leaders, with the help of lackey military leaders, always cut back on military spending right after a war so they can transfer that military money to their pet projects and their pockets (never returning it to the people) while making all sorts of great sounding excuses for why we don't need such a powerful military only to encourage the next tyrant to believe that we have become a weak nation, which causes said tyrant to start waging war against us which forces us to build an even larger military and spend even more money fighting another war losing millions more lives. I have learned that it is less expensive and saves a lot more lives to keep a military large enough and equipped well enough to discourage the tyrant from even trying in the first place.

What is really scary about this case is that we have just been defeated in two wars, scared off from the war in Syria, while Russia, China and numerous other nations are ramping up for conventional war on a global level, we are already so bankrupt we couldn't build a larger army to defend ourselves, and we are scaling down the size of our military so our corrupt politicians can stuff more of our government money in their greedy pockets? Are we screwed or what?

Yep, it is definitely time to....
